My Hypothesis If the egg shell dissolving is related to the aesthetic acids in the vinegar then the reason the cell wall is gone is because the acids have burnt it away. (Your hypothesis does not relate to diffusion and osmosis)
Materials 4 eggs, corn syrup, table salt, water, vinegar, and a container to hold the eggs, and food colouring to make it fun.
Procedure #1. place eggs in vinegar for 3 days #2. measure the eggs mass after 3 days in the vinegar #3. put one egg in salt water, another in corn syrup, and the last one in normal water (as seen in figure two)

Observations Egg removed from vinegar have no shell. (seen in figure one) They have a mass of 96 grams, 89 grams, and 97 grams, which is much larger then a regular egg which is 65 grams.
The first egg went from 89 grams to 39 grams and back to 86 grams. (what it looked like at 39 grams in figure three) The second egg went from 90 grams to 94 grams and stayed at 94 grams. The third egg went from 97 grams to 98 grams and then to 74 grams. The first egg went into corn syrup, the second egg went into normal water, and the third into salt solution. (all of these in figure two)
Conclusion We found out Osmosis and Diffusion help us stay alive by letting liquids in and out of our cells. Hyper-tonic and Hypo-tonic liquids either take away a lot of water or even give some water to the cell. Which is egg-xactly what happened to the eggs. Egg yokes.
Relevance Osmosis and Diffusion help us by letting liquids in and out of our cells in our bodies.
